VIRTUAL PROGRAM

Locally renowned chef, Mitchell Murphree is the owner and executive chef of Five Senses Restaurant and Catering and Steakhouse Five right here in Murfreesboro. Chef Mitchell will share some of his culinary secrets for “Cooking at Home”.

Kory Wells is the inaugural poet laureate of Murfreesboro. Kory is the author of the poetry collection Sugar Fix, and the poetry chapbook Heaven Was the Moon. She also performs her poetry on the album Decent Pan of Cornbread, a collaboration with her daughter, old-time musician Kelsey Wells. Kara Kemp is a speaker and storytelling coach for visionary leaders who wish to leverage the power of their personal narrative. Kara works with organizations and leadership teams on how to harness the power of storytelling to maintain momentum in their field. Kara and Kory will entertain our guests with their talents for “The Art of Storytelling”.

Nina and Richard Hanson of Hanson Farms in Lascassas, TN decided to start growing veggies as a healthy and affordable alternative to store-bought produce. They fell in love with working with the earth again, and their little farm took off from there! They now have multiple gardens, free-roaming chickens, honeybees, and dairy goats. Nina and her family will provide guests helpful tips and tricks for anyone interested in starting their own “at home” garden.
