Building Learning Frameworks

This event is no longer on sale.

Tuesday January 30

8:30 AM  –  10:00 AM

Dr. Jessica Luke will provide an overview of learning frameworks - what they are, examples of them, how they are useful. Learning frameworks are defined as the educational standards and/or outcomes by which museums guide the development of exhibits and programs.

Drawing upon the Children’s Museum Association’s Research Agenda and her knowledge of the field more broadly, Luke will provide an overview of one of the research studies recently conducted by the Children’s Museum Research Network. The network is a group of 10 children’s museums nationwide engaged in cross-institutional research studies and serves as a model for thinking that can apply to a range of non-profits and informal learning institutions.

This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (Award #MA-40- 17-0571- 17).
